Over GROND x Bajesdorp x Bajestuin = BLOCK PARTY

Save the Date for the yearly BLOCK PARTY, a collaboration between GROND x Bajesdorp x Bajestuin on 27 juni from 13:00 to late at GROND, Bajestuin & around. 13:00 – 16:30 > Workshops The day starts in the Bajestuin (garden) and the new makers' space of GROND, for an ongoing workshop afternoon. Workshops include paper-making, a workshop for kids, learning about compost, fermentation, pruning and cuttings, and experiencing what the garden and makers space becomes when many different hands, materials, ages, skills, and stories meet. 15:00 – 23:00 [tbc] During the afternoon you can also join the ping-pong competition. Bajesdorp invites musicians, dj's, and chefs to bring back this yearly tradition. The headliner is the Fanfare van de Eerste Liefdesnacht, a joyful brass band that turns every performance into a high-energy street celebration. The program includes performances on the outdoor stage and in the black box of GROND. This year you can learn more about AfroFuturism. Dinner is served by chef Mohamed, and there will be an outdoor cocktail bar.

Over Bajesdorp - GROND

GROND is een artist-run kunstruimte en vereniging op de begane grond van het Nieuwe Bajesdorp in Amsterdam Oost, opgericht in 2024. De ruimte wordt gerund door een associatie van zo'n 25 kunstenaars en collectieven uit uiteenlopende disciplines, met een nadrukkelijk doe-het-samen-ethos. De programmering combineert performances, workshops, repetities, previews en muziek — van ambient en geïmproviseerde jazz tot experimentele elektronica en theater. Centrale thema's zijn collectiviteit, duurzaamheid en procesmatig werken, als antwoord op toenemende vervreemding.
