Over A Useful Ghost (ENG subs)
The dead return for two reasons. One: because they remember it. And two, because they are remembered. Whatever the reason may be, the dead in this film still have a score to settle with the living. The scores are settled in a factory where household appliances are made; some of the appliances are, in fact, possessed by the spirits of deceased people. Some spirits are troublesome, like Tok, a former employee of the factory, who attributes his death to the working conditions. But there are also useful spirits, such as Nat's. Her soul has nested inside a vacuum cleaner, and she uses her time in the afterlife to drive away the other spirits in the factory. In this feature film debut, co-written by himself, director Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke pays homage to the art of imaginative storytelling.

Over Kriterion
Kriterion is een onafhankelijke bioscoop en café aan de Roetersstraat, opgericht in 1945 en sindsdien gerund door studenten. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog begonnen door voormalig verzetsstudenten, heeft de plek haar zelfstandige karakter door de decennia behouden. Het programma combineert actuele speelfilms met klassiekers, retrospectives en thematische series. Het café is ook buiten filmtijden open en vormt een ontmoetingsplek voor buurtbewoners en studenten. De studentencoöperatie die Kriterion beheert, maakt de plek organisatorisch afwijkend van commerciële bioscoopketens.
