Over Bijlmer Parktheater

Bijlmer Parktheater is een theater en productiehuis in Amsterdam Zuidoost, geworteld in de wijk en gericht op makers en publiek die elders zelden centraal staan. De programmering omvat theater, dans, muziektheater, spoken word, circus en performance, met een duidelijke nadruk op Surinaamse, Afro-Amsterdamse en andere niet-westerse perspectieven. Via Talentlab en Wereldmakers ondersteunt het nieuwe theatermakers actief in hun ontwikkeling. Een jongerenpanel schrijft eigen recensies, en samenwerkingen met gezelschappen als Orkater verbreden het bereik. Het theater verhuist op termijn naar een nieuw gebouw op het Anton de Komplein.
