Come hear the tales of Arachne, Philomela, and Ariadne, as told by skilled storytellers who will not only bring these myths to life but also weave them together into new interpretations and unique tales that bridge the ancient and the modern. So are you a mythology enthusiast or a fibre nerd? (Or maybe both!) Then come to Knits and Myths, a special storytelling evening centered around mythology and textile crafts. Feel free to bring your current craft project and immerse yourself in the rhythm of the spoken words as they transport you into a multitude of alternate realms.
Over Tolhuistuin
Tolhuistuin is een cultureel centrum aan de IJ-oever in Amsterdam-Noord, gevestigd op het voormalige onderzoeksterrein van Shell. Het 18.000 vierkante meter grote complex combineert binnen- en buitenpodia, een idyllische tuin, een restaurant, een hiphopschool en een broedplaats voor dertig culturele organisaties. De programmering is breed: van concerten in jazz, pop, indie en soul tot festivals, theateroptredens, exposities en maatschappelijke talks. Tolhuistuin wordt beheerd door een samenwerking tussen Stichting Tolhuistuin, THT Horeca en Stichting Paradiso, en richt zich nadrukkelijk op Noord én de hele stad.
