Over Yallah Yallah (2017)
Join us for the screening of "Yallah Yallah," directed by Cristian Pirovano and Fernando Romanazzo. The documentary film follows the story of seven characters in the West Bank whose lives are connected to the world of football in one way or another. Through their daily lives, we get to know their bond with the sport, their activities and the problems they have to face due to the occupation by Israel. Even though they are constantly affected by Israel's subjugation of Palestine, they manage to survive and endure all sorts of issues in order to enjoy one of their biggest passions: football. A discussion with Cristian Pirovano will follow the screening via Zoom. The film has English subtitles. Over OT301
OT301 is een zelfbeheerd cultureel centrum op de Overtoom in Amsterdam-West, opgericht na een kraakactie in 1999 en sinds 2006 in handen van de coöperatieve vereniging EHBK. Het pand combineert woningen, werkruimtes en publieke functies onder één dak: de Ventilator cinema/bar, concertstudio's, de vegancafé Gilde, galerieruimte 4Bid en dansstudio's. De programmering loopt uiteen van techno, drum and bass en jungle-nights tot performances, exposities, filmscreenings en workshops. De plek trekt een underground, politiek-bewust publiek en draait volledig not-for-profit.
