An alternative, multi-venue, one day festival in Amsterdam celebrating the underground. Geregeld Ontregeld, Pretty Ugly & Bandgurl666 team up to present a programme inspired by DIY culture and love for the underground. Meander through Amsterdam town and satiate your hunger for the unconventional during Kronkel. Kronkel; noun, m. (-s): a strong or loop-shaped curve, a repeatedly sharply curved line, shape or form. (in Amsterdam dialect) slightly unhinged, not quite right in the head. Indulge yourself at five different locations through West and Zuid in Amsterdam: OCCII, OT301, Teatro Munganga, Willem De Zwijgerkerk & De Nieuwe Anita - places that reek of the underground. During Kronkel, we bring together people, scenes and locations in Amsterdam and (far) beyond to celebrate the absurd, the unexpected and all sorts of artistic cross-overs within performance disciplines. Local and international acts will take the stage and invite you to explore with all your senses what the underground has to offer. Deli Girls: Consisting of producer Hatechild., drummer John Bemis (Murderpact) and vocalist Dan Orlowski, this Brooklyn based band have been on the rage since 2013. Known for their charged live performances, their raw blend of industrial, noise, rave and digital hardcore sounds will sweep you off your feet. Queer, anti-racist and anti-establishment - this band inhales and exhales the core values of the underground scene. Trevoga Collective with Softrot: Trevoga is a collective of performance artists who move against the current: dreamers, doomers, and aliens drawn toward another affect. For Kronkel, Trevoga collaborates with Softrot to present a preview of her upcoming performance, 0000-00-00. Softrot is the apotheosis of resistance in defeat. Seductive, unstable, her performance 0000-00-00 doesn't fear the end of the world, but a world that never quite ends. Over OT301
OT301 is een zelfbeheerd cultureel centrum op de Overtoom in Amsterdam-West, opgericht na een kraakactie in 1999 en sinds 2006 in handen van de coöperatieve vereniging EHBK. Het pand combineert woningen, werkruimtes en publieke functies onder één dak: de Ventilator cinema/bar, concertstudio's, de vegancafé Gilde, galerieruimte 4Bid en dansstudio's. De programmering loopt uiteen van techno, drum and bass en jungle-nights tot performances, exposities, filmscreenings en workshops. De plek trekt een underground, politiek-bewust publiek en draait volledig not-for-profit.
