Over 16mm Cult Movie Night
On June 3, 16mm Cult Movie Night rides into the dark underbelly of the American Old West. We are proud to present the one-of-a-kind Spaghetti Western masterpiece KEOMA. Keoma is a half-Indian gunfighter, who returns from the killing fields of the Civil War to find his hometown ravaged with plague and its people terrorised by a racist tyrant. With the help of his father and his friend, a freed slave named George, Keoma plans for REVENGE and REDEMPTION! KEOMA is an epic film of BIBLICAL proportions, inspired by the works of William Shakespeare and Sam Peckinpah. Directed by the infamous Italian Master ENZO G. CASTELLARI (The Inglorious Basterds, 1990: The Bronx Warriors). Starring FRANCO NERO (Django, The Mercenary) as Keoma, and WOODY STRODE (Spartacus, Sergeant Rutledge) as George. One Night Only — Wednesday, June 3. Projected on REAL 16mm film! Slow motion VIOLENCE like only CASTELLARI can deliver! Doors open: 19:30, Programme starts: 20:00. No digital cinema. Only 16mm. Over OT301
OT301 is een zelfbeheerd cultureel centrum op de Overtoom in Amsterdam-West, opgericht na een kraakactie in 1999 en sinds 2006 in handen van de coöperatieve vereniging EHBK. Het pand combineert woningen, werkruimtes en publieke functies onder één dak: de Ventilator cinema/bar, concertstudio's, de vegancafé Gilde, galerieruimte 4Bid en dansstudio's. De programmering loopt uiteen van techno, drum and bass en jungle-nights tot performances, exposities, filmscreenings en workshops. De plek trekt een underground, politiek-bewust publiek en draait volledig not-for-profit.
