Over Melkweg
De Melkweg is een poppodium en cultureel centrum aan de Lijnbaansgracht, achter het Leidseplein, gevestigd in een voormalige melkfabriek en suikerraffinaderij. Naast liveconcerten in genres als pop, rock, r&b, folk en electronic biedt de Melkweg ruimte voor clubnachten, film, fotografie en festivals. De programmering is breed: van neo-soul en house tot punkavonden als Pretty Pissed. Via Melkweg Young Creatives krijgen aankomende makers de kans om te experimenteren en hun werk te presenteren, wat de plek ook buiten de grote zaal relevant maakt.
