Over Mike's Badhuistheater

Mike's Badhuistheater is een klein podium in Amsterdam-Oost, gevestigd in een voormalig gemeentelijk badhuis uit 1913. Het monumentale gebouw in Amsterdamse School-stijl, ontworpen door architect Arend Jan Westerman, werd in 1985 omgebouwd tot theater. De programmering bestaat vrijwel geheel uit Engelstalig toneel: van Shakespeare-bewerkingen en klassiek drama tot improv en jeugdtheater. Het publiek is internationaal georiënteerd. De kleinschalige setting en de bijzondere historische ruimte geven voorstellingen een intieme sfeer die grote zalen niet bieden.
