Over International Women’s Day Fundraiser for Central African Women
International Women's Day Fundraiser for Central African Women 16:00 — Fundraiser — Doors: 15:30. Entrance: Donation-based March 8th marks International Women's Day; in the spirit of solidarity to all women everywhere, we feel the urgency to assign our attention and action towards women in the Central African Republic. Located in the heart of Africa next to Tchad, Soudan, Congo and Cameroun but still barely known by the rest of the world. Program 15:30 Doors open: There will be a mini-market and bake sale where you can already make donations to grassroot organisation Mobea 16:00 Workshop by The Pan-African Post – an educational platform by Terna, Jules and Roberto. They will offer a workshop educating on the history of the Central African Republic, their current situation and relationship
Over De Nieuwe Anita
De Nieuwe Anita is een klein podium en café in de Staatsliedenbuurt in Amsterdam-West, opgericht in 2001. De kelder en begane grond herbergen een breed scala aan programma's: live muziek van startende en rondtoerende acts, wekelijkse filmavonden (Cinemanita), literaire avonden (Literanita), open-mic sessies, stand-upcomedy, spoken word en lezingen. Vaste reeksen zoals de dinsdagse akoestische avond Witte Gei't? en de maandelijkse Amsterdam BeatClub geven de plek een trouw stamgastenkarakter. De cocktailbar is een apart aandachtspunt. Anita profileert zich bewust als vrijplaats voor kunstenaars en publiek van alle achtergronden.
